Baked Turkey Breast Recipe

This is perfect if you’re doing it up small this year. You can easily double this recipe. Approximate cooking time is 2 1/2 hours, but always check with a meat thermometer.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Small Onion
  • 2 Tbs Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbs Sage
  • 2 Tbs Parsley
  • 2 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 (2 to 2 1/2 Lb) Turkey Breast
  • 2 Tbs Butter

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Chop onion in a small food processor.
  3. Add lemon juice, sage, parsley, olive oil, and salt to food processor.
  4. Continue in food processor until you have a paste.
  5. Butter the turkey breast.
  6. Make a pocket between the breast and the skin.
  7. Put paste into that pocket.
  8. Bake in oven.
  9. Baste every 20-25 minutes.
  10. Continue to bake until thermometer reaches 170°F when inserted into the meatiest, thickest part.
  11. Cool for 20 minutes before slicing.
